The Skill of Training

You wouldn’t decide to start golfing today and expect to have a perfect swing.

You wouldn’t expect to be a lights out shooter the first time you pick up a basketball.

Why would things like lifting, jumping, and running be any different? We tend to take these skills for granted!

Obviously there are other physical qualities at play here…strength, endurance, mobility, etc…but we can’t disregard the skill component!

When people decide they are going to start working out, they often jump right into weightlifting, high-intensity training including plyometrics, running, or some combination of these training modalities.

These are all great options, and kudos for taking initiative to improve your health and fitness! However, we must respect that all of these activities require some level of skill and competence to perform them in a safe and efficient manner! What good is running every day if it ends up leading to injuries??

That’s where working with a professional comes in! Take the guess-work out of training and let us do the heavy thinking for you, so you can focus on the heavy lifting!

Our General Fitness Training services can help to keep you on track to reaching all of your fitness goals while minimizing aches, pains, and speed bumps along the way!
